As a former dancer, movement has always been an important pillar of my life. After undergoing multiple hip surgeries as a teenager and going to a lot of physical therapy myself, I grew to love learning about the human body and how movement has such a profound impact on recovery. This is when my passion for physical therapy began.
I became a certified exercise physiologist after graduating from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. I spent some time working as a personal trainer before obtaining my doctorate of physical therapy from Duke University. Since graduating, I have been working as a physical therapist in a gym setting treating people of all ages and activity levels. I especially enjoy working with avid gym goers and barbell athletes, as well as performing arts athletes of all ages (dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, etc.).
When not at the clinic, I am probably chipping away at DIY home project, going out for ice cream or hanging out with my boyfriend and two golden retrievers.
